This Monday, December 5th, entrepreneurs and companies met at BI Norwegian Business School for an intensive course titled “Learn to tell the economic story that convinces” - a focused introduction to economic storytelling from business model to investor pitch.

Knowing how to communicate with investors, and how to use storytelling techniques to deliver the right message to the right audience, is essential for companies seeking capital. With funding environments shifting and new energy value chains emerging, the ability to articulate a clear economic narrative is often what separates promising ideas from investable businesses.

The course was led by Pål Berthling-Hansen, Associate Professor at the Norwegian Business School, who delivered a highly practical session using sharp analysis and concrete examples tailored to companies in the energy transition sector. The format encouraged active participation, creating space for questions, discussions and real-time reflections - something the attendees engaged in throughout the day.

The course was initiated by BI Norwegian Business School and organised in collaboration between Energy Transition Norway, Innovation Dock, and Validé, who partnered to strengthen the local ecosystem by offering accessible, high-value learning opportunities for founders and small and medium-sized companies.

The course drew strong attendance and a diverse group of participants, all eager to strengthen their understanding of how investors think and what they look for when evaluating new ventures.
