ECN at ONS 2026: Four days. 40+speakers.
One place to discover the future of energy.
Energy Transition Norway, Energy Valley and GCE Ocean Technology join forces through a new national platform.

That is why Energy Transition Norway, Energy Valley and GCE Ocean Technology now join forces through Energy Cluster Norway (ECN), a new national platform for Norway’s energy sector.
Together, Energy Cluster Norway represents more than 350 companies and organisations across the entire energy value chain.
For member companies, this means access to a far broader network than any single cluster could offer alone. ECN will be officially launched at ONS 2026 in Stavanger this August.
"ECN brings together expertise, partners, and projects from across the country — opening doors our individual clusters simply couldn't reach alone," says Tor Arnesen, Chair of the Board of Energy Cluster Norway.
The strength lies in the combination. The three clusters offer complementary capabilities: from scale-up programmes and operator-driven innovation to AI and digital transformation, research partnerships, and Norwegian and European funding opportunities.
Each cluster brings something distinct to the platform. GCE Ocean Technology contributes with its established scaleup programmes — a disciplined approach, based on MIT’s methods, for starting and growing businesses.

Energy Transition Norway gives members access to the technical committee, a unique arena where all major operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf evaluate and develop innovation projects.

Energy Valley adds a dedicated focus on AI in energy, positioning members at the forefront of one of the sector's fastest-moving areas. Combined, these services give ECN members a stronger platform for finding partners, developing projects, accessing new markets, and building competitiveness across the full breadth of the Norwegian energy sector.
Energy Cluster Norway will be officially launched during ONS 2026 in Stavanger on Monday 24 August. Throughout the conference, ECN will host a seminar programme at stand 9050, Hall 9, where member companies from all three clusters will present their technologies, share project experience, and explore new collaboration opportunities.
We invite you to visit the stand to meet the companies, researchers, investors, and decision-makers shaping Norway's energy future — and learn what ECN can offer.
Norway holds world-leading expertise across multiple energy sectors — from offshore technology and subsea operations to hydrogen, CCUS, digitalisation and emerging energy solutions. But innovation happens inside companies. Translating that expertise into competitive advantage requires collaboration across technologies, industries, and regions.
Energy Cluster Norway exists to make that collaboration easier across companies, technologies, regions and value chains, accelerating innovation, strengthening competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
The platform will support companies in:
· finding relevant partners across regions and value chains
· developing innovation and R&D projects
· accessing scaling, startup- and competence-building programmes and courses
· connecting with operators, investors and decision-makers
· accessing funding and new markets — including stronger participation in European innovation programmes and international partnerships
· strengthening visibility in a national energy ecosystem
For companies working in or related to the energy sector, ECN is designed to make it easier to connect with the right people and build stronger projects.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about Energy Cluster Norway.
