4 million NOK to develop a mobile carbon-capture demonstrator unit

GreenCap Solutions AS has been awarded funding from the Ulla-Førre Fund to develop a mobile carbon-capture demonstrator unit - an important step in scaling their technology for broader industrial use.
On 28 November, the Ulla-Førre Fund announced this year’s allocations, distributing NOK 26 million across four regional innovation projects. In this round, GreenCap Solutions was granted NOK 4 million for their project “Carbon capture for a low-emission society – mobile demonstrator unit.”
You can read the full announcement on the Ulla-Førre Fund's website here.
The funding will support the development of a flexible and scalable carbon-capture solution that can be deployed both upstream and downstream in industrial and greenhouse value chains.
GreenCap Solutions, based in Sandnes and founded in 2016, develops energy-efficient and chemical-free CO₂ capture technology. Their approach is based on physical adsorption using zeolites and can be applied in sectors ranging from industry to controlled-environment agriculture.
Congratulations to the GreenCap Solutions team on this well-deserved recognition and exciting step forward!
