In early September, more than 60 young professionals gathered at Vingtor in Stavanger for a “Back to Work” event, highlighting the importance of students and young professionals getting involved in relevant networks.

The event was organized by YPB Energy Transition Norway, U37 Næringsforeningen i Stavanger-regionen, Young Logistics, Ung i Energi, ONS Young, NITO Young (the Norwegian Society of Engineers and Technologists), and Yngres Stålnettverk (YSN).

Each network presenting who they are and what they do at the start of the evening, allowing plenty of time for networking and socializing afterwards.

Kristina Renberg and Erling Pettersen shared valuable insights;

How to get engaged in a relevant network, how to find a mentor, and how this can play a crucial role in landing the jobs one is passionate about.

Anna Enerstvedt from ETN YPB called the event inspiring and said it was a fun collaboration across the different boards.

- We gained good visibility and reach, and since many of us are working toward the same goals, it was also great to strengthen networks and build relationships across different fields.

- We hope to do something together again on another occasion, she said.

Anna Enerstvedt (Stavanger municipality) and Ida Hillesland (EY) are both board members of Energy Transition Norway's Young Professionals Board, here presenting the cluster and the boards activities.
