Energy Transition Norway has been awarded the prestigious Energy Transition Award for 2025 by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Stavanger Section.

As stated in the official award letter, the honor is given “in recognition of your efforts and achievements in the global energy transition, in supporting the energy transition in Norway.”

Last year’s recipient was Northern Lights, Norway’s first large-scale CCS (carbon capture and storage) value chain project.

This year’s Awards Gala took place at Stavanger Konserthus on Friday, May 23rd at 18:00. Energy Transition Norway’s General Manager Egil Aanestad and Chair Tor Arnesen attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

The Energy Transition Award is presented annually to individuals, companies, or organizations that have made substantial contributions to the growth and advancement of the oil and gas industry through academic work, technological innovation, or business development.

The SPE Stavanger Section hosts the Awards Gala each year to honor its sponsors and recognize outstanding contributions that drive the industry forward.

Thank you so much for this honourable recognition!
