A local test center for hydrogen production from natural gas, biogas, electricity, and with thermal capacities
Technology concept/solution:
Risavika Hydrogen Hub (RHH) – an ambition for a local test center for hydrogen production from natural gas, biogas, electricity, and with thermal capacities. At the moment, the test center primarily focuses on small and medium scale pilot plants and testing of key components. With time and support from the industry and public bodies, the aim is to develop a full-sized industrial hydrogen and carbon production test facility.
Aditionally, RHH is working towards becoming a regional arena seeking to connect actors across sectors to promote industrial symbiosis and innovation for the development and commercial integration of hydrogen and CO2 value chains, where produced solid carbon and hydrogen can act as raw materials in local industry and research facilities.
Owner:
NORCE, Lyse, Seid, ETN – ambition to partner with local/regional companies with competencies and interest in hydrogen/CO2 value chains.
Funding:
1,4 million NOK from regional funding in 2024.
