dSolve

Wireline tool for opening cross-sectional windows in casing or tubing

Technology concept/solution:
The dSolve project is focused on developing a commercial wireline tool aimed at opening cross-sectional windows in casing or tubing without using a drilling rig. The concept is based on using an electrical current to stimulate a non-spontaneous reaction in order to dissolve the casing into a conductive solution and therefore, opening the required cross-sectional window. The realisation of this innovation will result in a cost-effectivetive, safe and environmentally friendly alternative to open cross-sectional windows to enable a rig-less P&A operation.
